Keep the passion
Pretty safe to say Kate and Kevin are off to a great start on this note.
How are you keeping the passion alive in your relationship? Cody and I are going on hike tomorrow. Just us and the dog, my kind of summer morning.

July has been a month of catching up on work and finding balance. It’s been a month of coming to grips with reality and what the future might hold. I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to take part in over the next few months and I’m just in awe at how life works sometimes. I’m not where I thought I would be, but the future is looking pretty freak’n amazing even if it’s not what I thought I wanted. I can’t say what the big opportunity is quiet yet, mostly because I don’t want to jinks it. But I promise I will be screaming it from the roof tops soon. And no I’m not pregnant.
It’s an opportunity that will take every ounce of my strength and faith. Changing paths is difficult, but I know sometimes you just have to step out onto the water and have faith. Even if you’re petrified.
in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you everybody else

and never stop fighting’

Street photography is really hard for me. I don’t like to stand out, and a 6 foot tall girl taking random photos makes me stand out. I try to be stealth, but I fail most of the time. I’d rather remain a fly on the wall, but maybe I should be engaging people more. Maybe that’s the point. To find out who the faces are. To reach outside my comfort zone and look people in the eye. See them as a person just like me. It’s just to easy to put your head down and not really see what the world is offering. Look up and engage….stop and smell the roses.

‘Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling.
If you can’t feel what you’re looking at,
then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.’
-Don McCullin
Sometimes things in your backyard, things you’ve seen a million times, can look different. Especially when you stop and look through the lens.
I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and have a custom website done. ‘But you just did your website’ says my husband. But it’s just not me. No templates are, no matter what logo or color I put into them. It’s not me. I want to sing from the mountains who I am. What my photography is and why I think it’s important. I believe it’s so incredible important to put out into the universe what you want to get back. So here it goes universe…watch out!
