What do you do on bitterly cold January day?  Show Rachael all your most prized toys of course!  This little blue eyed wonder is all about playing and reading books with mom and dad.  He even has a retro Mr. Potatoe Head, circa 1970..oh yea he may not know how cool it is, but I do!  Lucky little kid.  James is just a ball of energy that could steal your heart with one look of his blue eyes.

Baby Photography, Evan

Unpredictable.  Eight in the morning rolled around I packed up and left for Jen and Loren’s house.  I arrived to find a sleeping baby that had woke up early that morning and therefore couldn’t possibly wait to take a nap.  The hot coffee and creamer provided a fabulous distraction while we waited for little Evan to wake though.  You just can never tell how a certain day will go until you’re in the  middle of it all.  Little Evan did wake up and he was even in a pretty good mood for his mini session.

On the verge of crawling and drooling on everything…I love this stage.

I love winning things…only because it rarely happens!  A local printing company had an open house the other night and they did some give aways.  Normally I don’t put my business card in the pool because it’s so much larger and abnormal that no one ever picks it.  really they should do a study on it.  So Meghan offered to put two of hers in, one with my name on it.  And what do you know, the last name drawn was Meghan Valentine!  We both gasped and got all excited, and we didn’t even know what we’d won!  So Meg walks up and gets the prize.  And as she’s walking back she has the biggest grin on her face.  It the Fuji Instax Mini camera!  I almost did a happy dance.  And to top it off, the business card had my name on it!  Needless to say it made my night.  I absolutly love the colors of the film.  So pretty and little pastel.  Watch out future clients, I now shoot Polaroids and Holga!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!  Here’s to life’s unexpected pleasures!

‘Three things that make my life complete

Are love, laughter, and you, my sweet

The laughter has lasted since day one

Loving you darling, has ben so much fun.’

Kids will be kids.  Sometimes you can’t stop the laughter, other times it seems you can’t get them to laugh for anything.  Ben was incredible serious for our shoot.  No matter what I, Mom or Dad did, he was not crack’n a smile.  And that was that.  Jack on the other hand was little ham.  A very curious three year old with the brightest blue eyes!

I shot film and digital…can you tell which is which?

Fierce little man.
