A Very Happy 4th of July

I don’t like to wait, I know this. My husband knows this. He actually will make a game of it sometimes and make me wait just because. But he also knows me better then anyone I’ve ever met. (sorry mom).
Today is my 30th birthday. Yes I was in fact born on the 4th of July, my father was born on St. Patrick day too. And with being born on Independence day, I’ve grown accustom to certain things and it’s just not my birthday without them. You know the kind of comforts that it isn’t Christmas, or Thanksgiving without. Fireworks are it for me. It really doesn’t feel like my birthday without a big display of fireworks. Do you have something like that, that it’s just not your birthday without ‘x’?
We had a big BBQ last night with all my favorite people in the world and almost saw fireworks too. But with all the dryness in CO they canceled them. But a girl couldn’t ask for better friends to stand with her as she turns 30. Some how I thought I would feel older…I don’t. Life goes on the same way it always has.

And because I have the best husband in the world, he gave up his phone upgrade so that I could get the iPhone 4s. The long anticipated holy grail of phones in my opinion. I won’t lie, I cried happy tears and gave him the biggest hug and kiss every. He just knows how much I hate to wait.
