Escaping the heat of Denver for the cool mountain air is like dunking your head in a bucket of ice. With 100+ temps in Denver, we took the opportunity to stay the entire weekend in Leadville. Leadville set a record with a high of 75….haha that’s what I like!
How many times to do pick up the camera on the weekends? Just to take photos of your life as it is right now? I want you do that more often, just document your life, right now. What does life look like for you?
I use to think that I don’t have kids, so how interesting can our life be? Kids give you something to take photos of, right? But this moment, this kidless time in our life is still just as important to document as it will be when we do have kids.
So what exactly do you take photos of then Rach? Good question my lovely. The details, the people, and you. What did the sky look like that day? What’s around you that shows what you did? Did you spend the day in bed? Take a photo of your messy bed! Did you weed the garden, take a photo of your muddy garden gloves and the weeds. See where I’m going with this?
Will you document and learn with me? I’m learning to pick that camera up more just for me. You should to, no need to be a professional here!

I think the best photos bring the moment back to life.
And it does not matter what camera you use, point and shoot or expensive professional camera. Personally I loath dragging my big camera on weekend trips. I love using cameras I don’t get to use much. Like the Polaroid Land Camera!
The Leadville Horseshoe Market was a Success! I sold a couple canvases, which made my heart happy. Thank you everyone that came! And Thank you Amy for following your heart and starting the market. You are an inspiration!
Go pick up a camera and make a photo that’s perfect for you!
xoxo – Rach
