Girls Inc, Muna and Fray

I think I’ve gotten more out of this group of girls then I could have ever imagined.  They are so wonderful and full of life!  Muna and Fray are two more high school seniors from Girls Inc.  I’ve just been so impressed and honored to hangout with these girls.  I’m really good at starting projects, but have a hard time continuing the project very long, ie People project.  But this project and working with these girls has been the BEST project I’ve ever had.  Just amazing young women.

Longing for some summer camping

Spring cleaning is in full swing at the Weaver house.  And my desk is of major importance!  I like a clean house (although not clean enough to meet my mother’s standards), but I just can’t seem to keep my desk clean.  Sticky notes, books, flash cards, and more books are everywhere!  I’ve been cleaning out my stash of film and negatives in my filing cabinet and came across this photo from a camping trip almost two years ago.  Man how time flys!  The weather today is breezy 75 degrees and I’m swooning over a summer camping trip.  To be in the mountains, hiking during the day and sitting by the camp fire at night.  Now that says summer!  And you can’t forget a good cold Fat Tire within arms reach at all times!  :-)

People Project, week 2

Did I say this was going to get easier?  Maybe it takes longer then two weeks?  It was definitely still difficult to get the guts, but I didn’t hesitate as much.  So maybe I am improving?  I had some interesting things come out of last weeks subjects, and nothing I had in mind or wanted for that matter.  So this week I think I played a little more cautiously.  Which is kinda of sad really.  I don’t want to have a type of person in mind, I just want to photograph the different people that I see all over Denver.

And I kept with my one frame rule.  It really did help and make me think a little more about what I’m doing, instead of just flying by the seat of my pants.

And last but not least, super cool Chick.  Kinda makes me want to try pink hair, but I don’t think I could pull it off nearly as well.
