Grant Humphrey’s Wedding, Hillary and John

Chic, romantic and true.  Hillary and John are just that.  It still blows my mind how two people can meet and fall in love and be so perfect for each other.  I really think there has to be someone out there for each of us.  A perfect match made in heaven.  It sounds so cheesy, but yet it feels so true and good to say.   Sometimes when you’re least expecting it to the unbelievable happens.

My Second shooter Stacy had fun shooting some expired film in a twin lens camera.  Thank you so much Hillary and John for allowing me to come into your lives and sharing  just a piece of it with me.   I can’t wait to see where this world takes you!

Denver Athletic Club Wedding, Allison & Nick

Life can be complicated.  Families are complicated.  But when it comes down to two gorgeous people getting married we put aside our differences and come together to celebrate. And that’s exactly what Allison and Nick’s loved ones did.  They came together because Allison and Nick are in love.

Allison’s nickname as a child, given by her late father, was Allison Falls.  Well Nick’s last name is Falls.  I’d say that’s a match made in heaven.

Allison and Nick’s wedding pushed me professionally in that we had very little light to work with.  We were working against the clock. But I love how grainy and honest the photos are.  Allison and Nick are film students and their artsy personalities really shine through.  I’m so honored to be a part of such a beautiful union.

My uber talented second shooter Meghan caught these of the gents. I’m in love with this shot from Meghan…is that weird?  Seriously though it just has so much soul and personality.   ah Meg you’re awesome. Killer Holga shots.

Amazing team to work with!

Just breath…

Why is it that when you want time to just stand still, even if it’s just for a moment, that time speeds up and goes by in a blur?  If I could stop time for my couples I would.  Just for a moment to soak it all up.  Smell the air, feel the breeze and just love each other with no distractions.

A little sneak peak of Natalie and John’s wedding last Saturday.  A gorgeous day for a gorgeous loveable couple.

Denver Wedding Photographer, So many Choices!

I’m feeling a little saddened today because of the actions of another fellow photographer.  There are a LOT of photographers out there.  I’m not oblivious to that, so obviously clients have a choice to make.  And difficult decision at that.  Everyone begins to look alike.  I think it’s kinda like wedding dress shopping.  You try on dozens of dresses and pretty soon they’re all looking the same and you can’t tell one from another.  You feel overwhelmed.  (I’ve been there)  You know that there’s one out there that fits just right, and fits your personality and it’s just you.  So you meet with a few people and you’re maybe able to narrow the decision down just little more.  I feel it’s my job to figure out what you’re looking for and help you find it.  Whether that’s me or not.  Not everyone is going to hire me.  And that’s ok.  Everyone has the choice to make and I respect that.  If you love someone else and feel they’ll make you happy, then by all means go with that person.  Who am I to say I’m perfect for you?  Only you can say that.  As you’re looking for a photographer, ask yourself these questions.  Do they make me feel comfortable?  Can I see myself in their photos?  Are they professional?  In the end I think you have to go with your gut.  If it feels right, go for it!

You, the client, are the most important thing to me.  Whether you choose me or not.  I want you to be ex tactic about your photographer and your photos.  Period.

Denver Engagement Session; Lindsey and Lee

Holy Moly!  I love Lindsey and Lee!  They’re straight forward and sweet.  And they just ooze cuteness together!  To kick off the new year I’m now adding HD video to weddings and even Couple Sessions.  My vision is to capture and tell each client’s love story and there was just something missing before.  At least until I added HD video.  Now I can add just enough spoken word that the couple’s love for each other and what they mean to each other is expressed by them.  I’m So excited to be adding this special little something.  I’d love to hear feed back too!  I can’t wait for Lindsey and Lee’s wedding, a gorgeous ceremony under a tree in City Park and Cocktails on the Museum roof top!  AHH it’s going to be a good one!
