Laura and James – wedding

curtis-hotel-denver-wedding-41

This is going to be a ridiculously long post.  Laura and James wedding was so much fun…and memorable.  You can always expect a few things to go wrong on the day of the wedding, that’s just to be expected.  Well there were a few things that didn’t exactly go as planned.  To start off with the weather for their engagement session in January was better then the wedding day in April.  Windy and cold is no fun in a wedding dress.  And I hate it when your kicked out of public lobby’s!  Who does that!?  Not once…but twice…two different lobbys.  But despite things not going completely to plan Laura and James kept their cool and had a blast.   And their good spirits are definitely infectious!  This group was so much fun!  Oh almost forgot  the crazy part.  The power went out at the hotel.  yup. no power.

Needless to say there were TONS of photos I absolutely loved and have to post!

I think their parents were more excited for them to tie the knot.  Laura’s mom couldn’t stop crying tears of joy all day.

After dodging a VERY upset security guard Laura and James finally got to see each other.  Thanks to an awesome bar tender.

For about 10 minutes we had sun and a fabulous yellow wall!  I think Laura planned the colors just for these shots.

During the ceremony each guest came up and greeted the couple then lit a tea light candle.  Love it!

but 200 tea light candles can be dangerous on a small table….caution: may cause a small fire.  But quick thinking Laura blew it out before it got to large.

    Rachel,
These are amazing pictures. thanks for all you did to make it a special day. It was fun working with you to help organize the “family pictures and watching all those candles do their thing on the altar.”
