“The joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction.”
– Elder M. Russell Ballard
The early days of a new addition can feel like sheer survival. Everyone is struggling to adjust to the new normal and sleep is non existent. So many times Cody and I looked at each other in the months after Crosby was born and said, ‘What have we done?”
Kathryn and James you are not alone. It is hard. It is exhausting. If you were breezing through this transition, I’d have to wonder. Instead I’m inspired by your grace and attitude towards the challenges of having a newborn and toddler. The struggle is real my friends.
Thank you so much for inviting me into your home, your sanctuary during a time that’s not always pretty. A time that’s foggy. These images are a record that you did it. You are surviving and even thriving as a family of 4. A snippet of life never looked so beautiful.
