“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
Giving back and being as environmentally responsible as possible with your wedding planning can be challenging. I read a lot and I’m always finding these rabbit holes of how to be more environmental responsible on the internet. Anything from going plastic free (incredible hard) to going vegan. Looking at the wedding industry, it’s kind of disturbing how much waste there is. And there’s definitely ways to lighten the environmental load so to speak.
And believe me when I say, you can make a difference. Maybe even someday it’ll be second nature to think; recycle, reuse, reduce when it comes to wedding planning.
One idea would be to donate those gorgeous arrangements to hospitals, nursing homes or hospice. You can use locally grown flowers (pending the season of course). Or containers that are up-cycled from things like jars, cans or wood.
What other ways can you think to reuse those gorgeous flowers you spent so much hard earn cash on?
