This is the face you make so much of the day.
Of course you giggle at the dog (a lot) and you love to tickle my belly after nursing but it’s this face that I love.
This beautiful face filled with so much thought that makes me fascinated; captivated by you.
I just can’t wait to know what’s going on inside that head of yours.
It’s been a hard week too peanut. Weaning has not been fun.
Honestly your face is pretty much how I feel about it too. But it’s happening, mother nature has ideas of her own.
Somehow we’ll make it thru. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
You’re so incredibly particular about what you like from the books you want to read to the food you will or will not eat.
We’ve started using more signs to help you communicate, because yelling is your preferred method at the moment. :/
And yet, somehow you still find ways to entertain yourself even when we’re stuck inside all day.
I’m dreaming of summer days where we can get those adorable chubby legs outside in the grass.
Someone shared a poem today my Mary Oliver.
“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”
