So I have a secret to tell you that I’m sure will surprise you.
First, though, I want I want to share a story with you. I talk a lot about moments and capturing what you love about life, so when a client, Sara came to me a few months back with a desire to make her life easier, I was thrilled to share my approach to photography.
After her first baby was born they did the usual newborn photos. They went to the photographer’s studio just 5 days after she was born. Still bleeding, sore, chapped, sleep deprived, and healing. But mostly still getting to know this sweet little baby in their arms.
The photographer was nice and had a warm space, but little M was not a happy camper. She had a hard time calming down, wouldn’t nurse, and blew out two diapers. To say Sara and her husband were stressed was an understatement. They were paying a lot of money for these photos and wanted them to go right!
In the end, the photographer did capture some good shots. But the stress never left Sara’s mind.
When it came time to birth their second child, they knew they were going to do it differently. They just didn’t know how.
Sara searched and searched until she came across my site. We chatted on the phone and talked about her past experience. We talked about what she was wanting to capture this time and most importantly how she wanted to feel.
A photo session doesn’t have to be stressful.
