What did you love about being pregnant?

Realizing the miracle of growing a human and child birth. Each week we would review the milestones of Lucy’s growth. From the first day we found out we were expecting, to where we are today, there have been so many little miracles that took place to create the baby who is in our arms! Another really special part of pregnancy is joining a tribe of mothers. There are so many supportive women that help you get through the highs and lows of being pregnant. So grateful for their support over the 41 weeks.

What are you hopes and dreams for Lucy?

Our hope is that Lucy is happy and treats everyone she meets with respect and dignity. We want her to follow her passions and make sure that she sees success and fulfillment in what she seeks, while lifting others up in the process.

How has being a parent changed you? Or how do you hope it will change you?

Parenting has already created a deeper sense of purpose for us. It has changed the way we look at everyday and she is a constant reminder for us to strive to be the best versions of ourselves.

What has surprised you most about being a parent?

The love we have for Lucy came right away. You wait so long to meet them and just like that, they are here! Many tears (of joy) have been shed over the past 11 days and we are already so proud of our daughter and want nothing but the best for her.

If you couldn’t be there to raise your child, what would you want them to know?

We want Lucy to know she can do anything and be anyone she wants to be. She is an unstoppable force and she has become our greatest joy in life. We want her to explore her faith, trust her gut, treat others with kindness and make her mark on this earth. We want her to know that we love her so much and love one another as well. That we hope one day she can find a love like ours and to live each day to the fullest.

Are you expecting a baby soon?  What about this new chapter do you want to remember?  Let’s build a newborn session around that and capture not just memories of how little they are, but how it feels to snuggle their little curled up body under the crook of your neck.
