How I’ve held off sharing this stunning wedding…well I have no idea.  Kevin VonQualen knows I love mountain, ranch, anthropology type weddings and invited me along for Beth and Taylor’s wedding.  Swoon over every detail…the light.  Oh lord the light.  Kinda makes you think we were in California.  Swoon my lovelies.

Keystone Ranch Wedding, Natalie and Travis

Nerves can feel all consuming, a tight grip on your throat and stomach that won’t loosen for anything.
Then you see him.  Your love, your fiance, your soon to be husband.
And the nerves lift and disappear.
Your biggest smile begins.  The last accessory to make this perfect day absolutely and udderly perfect.

I adore Natalie and Travis.  They both have personalities to fill a room with laughter and smiles, but together they are infectious.  They just seem to attract nothing but genuine and seriously hilarious people around them.  LOVED this wedding is an understatement.
This was exactly my kinda wedding.

There is a story for this photo.  And it starts with a stand up comedian.

Natalie and Travis, thank you.  It was a honor to be a part of your wedding and your lives.  I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you.  It’s sure to be filled with laughter and lots of love.

Wild Basin Lodge Wedding, Amorette and Rich

I have a wish for every bride.  A wish that they can relax, submerse themselves fully into their wedding day.  The only thing that matters is right in front of you and pledging his faith and love in the two of you as a couple.  I wish that she glows from head to toe and can’t help but smile from ear to ear all day long.
Amorette and I have grown to know very intimate details about each other over the short months we’ve known each other.  A friendship I know that will last long after the wedding glitter has settled. A friendship that has grown out of our own weakness but somehow the other could overcome.  Amorette’s gift is getting couples pregnant through acupuncture.  And it is a gift, because she’s amazing.  By the time we finally got to her big day I was already showing a little bump.  :)   And me, helping Amorette get through all the family/planning crap that goes along with weddings to see what was there the whole time.  Rich and their love for each other.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a bride that glowed the way Amorette did on her wedding day.

Thank you Amorette for trusting me.  You are an angel and I’m so humbled by our friendship.

Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding, Jeni & Greg

‘Love has such a great way of growing,
Often by leaps and hounds the lovers say
loving hearts has a way of knowing,
With joy she heads to her wedding day..
To enjoy the every moment that will come,
There’s not really much more I need to say
Two hearts would rejoice at one home,
Having heart-picked their own ‘wedding day’
-Arijit Mandal

You hear about the wedding that gets rained out.  It happens, but you never think it’ll happen to you.  But it did happen to Jeni and Greg.  It down poured for an hour and half leading up to their long awaited outdoor ceremony.  Everything moved inside.
I was sad, but I knew Jeni and Greg and I knew they would take it in stride.  They were there, surrounded by the people they love.  Their baby boy Judd was there.  You don’t need a mountain top or fancy set up to get married.  All you need is love.  And love they had.

A BHLDN dress!  So perfect I cried.

If there was ever a case for seeing each other before the ceremony, this is it.  Because we lucked out and had everything done before the rain came, Jeni and Greg could literally relax for an HOUR before while everything was moved around.  That’s right relax people.

The brave souls even took me up on my idea to play in the rain.  Bliss.

What would have been the ceremony site.  Moments happen so fast and it melts my heart to see a couple so absorbed in the day.  Just taking it all in.  That is what a wedding should be.  Happy tears, hugs, and soaking up every last drop of bliss.

I’m a lucky girl to find people like Jeni and Greg.  They melt my heart.
