“You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So… get on your way!”
- Dr. Seuss
On a day dotted with white fluffy clouds and a cool crisp breeze, we explored from inside to outside. We chopped wood, played, read books, and best of all colored our wildest dreams.

Time to curl up & cuddle close

Back Baby!
I’M BACK BABY!!!
Holy, it feels amazing to be back in the saddle blogging and sharing with the world. I missed it these last few months. And honestly this hiatus was WAY longer then I would have liked. But all good things take impatiences, I mean patience right? Still working on that whole patience than’g.
I have learned and grown so much in the short months I’ve been a mother (and still learning!) and I can honestly say I have so much more clarity in my life. And it all starts right here. I honestly love my life right now. Sure there are times I want to run my head into a wall (like when peanut just wants to play at 2am) but right now, this moment things are pretty freak’n awesome. And I want that for you my friend. I want you to fall in love with your own life. When you’re head over heals in love with your life you walk with a little hop in your step, a twinkle in your eye, you’re a little more patient with your kiddos and spouse, you smile at strangers, there magically seems to be just a few more minutes in the day, you can handle the crazy moments in the day without going crazy yourself, and you begin to feel free to be who you were meant to be.
In world full of excess, overload, and exhaustion I want to bring a space of less is more, calm, and inspiration. A place to embrace life as it is right now. And of course document and share the story that is your life right now! You can continue down the path of excess and exhaustion or you can stop and embrace everything right here and now. I promise you, breathing is more then worth it. It’s life giving!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.. I am so grateful for all those that have entrusted me to tell their story and all those that just come here to be inspired.
Thank you.
This nap time work’n mama is so beyond excited and ready to embrace the next chapter!

Megan & Dan's Keystone Wedding
Stillness. Faith. Gentleness. Kindness.
Compassion. Joy. Forgiveness. Comfort.
Vulnerability. Honesty. Courage. And love.
Now we’re talking about power.
It’s said often, we’re better together. And you always hope that at each wedding it’s true for the souls taking a vow. I know for a fact it’s true for Dan & Megan. They make my heart so happy to have had the privilege of being a part of their big day and their lives. Visually narrating their story of love and being yourself with those you love.
I hope they make a special trip up the mountain once a year and stand in the spot they said I do and just be. Squeeze each other hand and remember why they said forever.
Fabulous you made it! So many photos…I just couldn’t decide.
A huge thank you to Michele Hart for making the trek up the mountain to second shoot. And Megan’s Mom and Sis for being sooo incredible supportive of two nursing mama’s!
In other news, we’re scrambling to get things buttoned up before we leave for a month. Two mountain trips and two weeks in France here we come! Praying D becomes a seasoned traveler in a hurry.

Baby Beluga and the Great Blue Sea.
Beyond the long borders where foam and drift
Of the sundering waves are lost and gone
On the tides that plunge and rear and crumble.
-Carl Sandburg
Baby Beluga has become Delilah’s favorite song. And it all started with her first trip to the ocean. I remember as a kid getting so excited to see the ocean, living in Minnesota the ocean is a big thing! For D I hope we can go yearly. Time spent hanging out on the beach, making sand castles and playing in the waves. Maybe someday she’ll look back with the same fond excited memories. This trip she was less then impressed, let’s hope that’s just a tired baby. My non-photog cousin Morgan took these of my baby girl and I. I think she may have a future in everyday life photography. Being the one behind the camera all the time, I LOVE that I have these images of her and I.
My mama heart is full.
That moment when the world disappeared. Devrim & Katie's Elopement
We were done. Walking away and ready to pack it up for the day, when I decided we should do just a couple more Polaroids.
And this happened. A moment of sacred bliss.
The world disappeared and it was only Katie & Devrim.
I can’t wait to share more of Katie and Devrim’s elopement at Chautauque. Seriously this one will have you crying…

Life is beautiful, The Yetman Family
Ignore the rain
and look for the rainbow.
If you asked me 4 years ago when I shot Amy and Doug’s wedding (one of my favs too) that they’d have three kiddos under 2 come 2013, I would have laughed. I think Amy and Doug would have too. But here we are in the middle of life. A life filled with almost 2 year old Fiona’s laughter and the 5 month old twin’s ear to ear grins. It’s messy, chaotic, sometimes overwhelming, but when you take the moment for what it is you see the beautiful sweetness that’s there to fill your soul. This is life with three beautiful girls under 2. And Amy and Doug wouldn’t have it any other way.
Watch out world here come Fiona, June and Sadie!
Amy is also the master mind behind The Horseshoe Market that’s this Saturday! Seriously she’s super women. Check out the market, it’s an amazing market of handmade art, jewelry and vintage goods.
Love you both and your adorable little girls. Your family makes my heart smile.

Denver Art Museum Wedding, Terra & Mike
He looked at her and thought I must be dreaming. She’s my wife. How did I get so lucky?
A wedding right out of a fairytale. Including the stunning bride and prince charming. Terra and Mike are so sweet. And clearly Mike adores Terra.
Being present during the quiet moments, the chaotic moments, the heart felt and teary eyed moments, and the pure joy moments is beyond special. Honored doesn’t even come close to how I feel. It’s a privilege to be a part of these moments.
So much light and love to you both!

City Park Engagement, Dan & Megan are getting married!
I gathered up my gear, kissed the babe and hubs good-bye and walked across the street. And just to be safe I looked both ways before crossing the street.
Our neighborhood is full of eclectic people from all walks of life, but some how, Dan & Meg bought the house right across the street from us. A couple that loves backyard BBQ’s, dogs and Sunday’s in the park as much as we do.
We kicked off their Couple’s session with mojitos and dog kisses. Perfect in every way possible.
So excited for their wedding next month! And for many more BBQ’s to come!
