A Turning Point

thanksgiving-002

It’s taken me weeks to write this post.
Weeks to gain the confidence to put this list out into the universe.
But I know I need to do it.

Goals for me have always been met with excitement for the first few weeks.
Then somewhere along the line, the enthusiasm dies.  And I feel over overwhelmed.
Dread looking at the to do list and just feeling unworthy.
Something tells me I’m not the only one.
You make a list of all the things you want to accomplish in the coming year.  Some things are BIG; others are simple.
Then as the weeks go on you get busy and you forget the original purpose.
Or a set back happens.  And BAM suddenly self-doubt creeps in.
You think I can’t do all these things.  So you give up.

Maybe not right away or completely.
But you loose faith that you can make all those thing happens.

I’ve learned I need accountability.
And it’s not enough to just tell a friend.  No, that’s to easy.

The internet has a way of feeling like you’re putting something into the ether.
And so I’m writing here to give myself accountability.
But also to hopefully at the end of 2014 cross off more things on the list then not.
I know I won’t do all of them.
And that’s ok. (It’s taken a long time to be ok with this, A LONG TIME)

I will have set backs, I already have!
But I will push through with new resolve.  My dreams are at stake!
So here she goes!  2014 Goals (personally & professionally)
