The Best Kind, a Boulder Elopement

Devrim turned to me and asked if I would be their witness. The magnitude of the moment set in.  It truly was just the three of us and the officiant.  No guests to remember how the ceremony felt or looked like.  No parents to capture as they cried tears of joy for their child. Katie & Devrim will always remember how they felt.  The tears they cried and the emotion in their heart.  But it was up to me to convey that to their family.  A heavy load I hadn’t completely absorbed until that moment.
Telling this story was an honor that I will carry with me ALWAYS.
