I took a holga workshop recently. Not so much to learn more about holga, it’s a plastic camera with two f-stops. But to shoot holga for fun. I use the holga all the time with clients, but I rarely just go out and shoot for myself. And I love Idaho Springs. It’s such a cute little old mining town. And the bonus of the workshop is we’re displaying a few shots in a studio space, Eliot Street Collective. Which is an awesome space that anyone can rent out too. So if you’re in the area check it out the next few weeks. There’s some pretty talented people here in Denver.

Idaho Springs Holga
May 27, 2010Longing for some summer camping
April 12, 2010
Spring cleaning is in full swing at the Weaver house. And my desk is of major importance! I like a clean house (although not clean enough to meet my mother’s standards), but I just can’t seem to keep my desk clean. Sticky notes, books, flash cards, and more books are everywhere! I’ve been cleaning out my stash of film and negatives in my filing cabinet and came across this photo from a camping trip almost two years ago. Man how time flys! The weather today is breezy 75 degrees and I’m swooning over a summer camping trip. To be in the mountains, hiking during the day and sitting by the camp fire at night. Now that says summer! And you can’t forget a good cold Fat Tire within arms reach at all times!
Happy Monday my little readers!

Las Vegas
March 15, 2010
You can think yourself into happiness or success,
despire or hopefulness. It all depends how you manage the volume of the one type of thought over
the other. The one that dominates the mind tends to be the winner.
The good thing is that you decide who will win.
I spent last week in Las Vegas for a photography convention. And I have to say I hate Vegas as a city. Sorry to all those that love it, I just can’t handle all the over indulgence. I did however have a great time at the convention and with the people I went with. I came home with my head spinning from all the fantastic inspiration and feel really good about where I am. I have so many things I’m going to be doing over the next few months and it all involves LOTS of shooting. Which is the whole reason I got into photography to begin with, and I can’t wait to do the projects I’ve got planned!
I took one roll of 800 speed film with me on the trip and only a few turned out. More to the fact I was drinking while shooting. Not really the best combination. But I LOVE this photo. A totally accident, but I think it sums up Vegas…
Wall, South Dakota winter holga
January 15, 2010
Who needs board games when there’s a holga around! My hubby and I spent Christmas with his family in Wall, South Dakota. But only after they were snowed in for three days. Literally snowed in. We drove up the day after they opened the roads and were shocked at the amount of snow.
Our dog Champ and I had a great time walking around taking pictures and playing in the snow.
