Project 52, Week 41 Baby Falcon

falcon

It’s been another week of sickness in our house.  I honestly thought not having you in daycare would save us from catching every puke, rash, fever bug, but alas apparently I was wrong.  So this week has been lots of snuggles, rocking, and far to much Daniel Tiger then I care to admit I let you watch.  I’m a sucker for your sweet face and head tilt.  And you know it.  Today you decided to make the garden falcon a friend/baby.  Rocking him and ‘sshhh’ while patting his back.  A ride in the wagon was perfect way to put him to sleep, and I have to admit it was pretty cute.  Your imagination is bubbling to the surface more and more every day.  I love watching you pretend and wonder what words you’d say if you could.  What dreams do you have?
I love this age because so much personality is refining itself.  You’re incredibly observant.  Always watching before engaging in any activity.  Laying out how the other kids are playing and acting.  Your kind heart is always on your sleeve.  Concerned about kids that are upset or helping others.  Every expression a total mirror of what you’re thinking.  You love being challenged and pushed just enough to see how strong you really are.  And you’re fiercely independent when you want to be, but a complete cuddle bug when you need it.  So many qualities that will serve you well in the future.

xoxo – Your Mama
