Finding the path again.
We sat on the couch yesterday evening, honestly not knowing what to say.
I could feel that something was off, like I’d relaxed just a little to much and now I was sinking into something deep. And not a place I wanted to be.
We knew we had fallen off the path we were so focused on just a short month ago.
We were committed to our goals, we paid off $5000 in just two months!
And then somehow without really realizing it…the last few weeks we have become dangerously off course.
We’re not working towards our goals, we’re on a path that’s going in the opposite direction of our goals.
Life happens and you forget to focus.
I thought I could relax a little, we had made such great progress I thought.
I spent $10 here, $20 there…I thought oh it’s nothing. I deserve it. (dangerous words I tell you)
Suddenly those little amounts turned into a huge mound.
I looked at Cody and said we need a spending freeze.
No, I need a spending freeze.
We need a major path rediection and quick or we will become so off course that we’ll give up and be no better off then we are right now.
I’ve honestly been focusing on all the wrong things lately. Focusing on the lack rather then the abundance.
And it shows.
I’m buying crap instead of discovering what’s already in our house and our lives.
I’m stressing about money again.
I hate that feeling.
I said a little prayer to help me find a way to get back on track and focus.
The universe delivered. This idea of a spending freeze to get us back on track.
We will still have to spend money. (our pantry is not deep at all)
But I love the idea of clearing, decluttering, organizing that goes with it.
Spring cleaning is exactly what our house needs, exactly what my mind needs, and exactly what our family needs.
