Relax and Lighten Up.

double exposure-004

‘Relax.  Lighten up.
Let go of shame and fear.
The whole picture is perfect, and perfectly okay.’

It looked deceptively warm and beautiful out.
But as we stepped out of the car with a child already fussy with hunger, the wind took my breath away and chilled me to the bone.
A hike and time for me to play was about as likely as pigs flying.
In vain we tried, I tried to accomplish what we drove all the way to Look Out Mountain to do.
The opportunity to play while someone else handles the monkey happens so little I was determined to make it work.
It didn’t.
Like any new thing it takes time to learn.
And while learning I stomp my feet like a little child.
I complain to the husband.
Then the ice breaks and I begin to understand.
If it sounds painful, it is.
Even more so to watch I’m sure.  But it’s how I learn.
Try and try and try again till finally it starts to click.

I have so much more to learn when it comes to in camera double exposure.
But I’ve pushed thru the hard part…now it’s just fun.  :)

Have you tried it yet?  With film or digital?

xoxo – Rachael
