Project 52; Week 29 Yiddish

Denver Family photographer

Yiddish words are pretty much all you’re saying, but it’s a constant babble.
You’ll read magazines on your pillow.
And yesterday, you decided to talk to someone on the phone for over 30 minutes.
Walking around chatting away to your friend.
I can’t imagine where you learned that from.
Definitely not your father!

Several friends are preparing to add additions to their families, and it’s got me thinking about this whole year and half you’ve been in our lives.
How much I’ve changed.
How much your daddy has changed.
Changed in such beautiful mind boggling ways.
With every new phase you go through I learn something new about you, being a mother, and myself.
How strong I can be.
How compassionate and patient I can be. (never thought I would ever be patient)
And how much you can love someone completely without expecting anything in return.
Multiple times a day I want to wrap you up in my arms and never let go.
‘Can you feel how much I love you?’ I wonder.
Do you know just how special you are?
Every child has a special crown of beautiful light.
But yours my dear, burns so bright it takes my breath away every moment.
Even when you’re mad.

I can only image what another child would do to my heart.

xoxo – Your mama
