Project 52, Week 49; I Believe
If you believe you can, you can. If you believe you can’t, you can’t. What do you want to believe?
Words I’m learning to trust in this new year and words I hope to pass on to you. Words to live by. Life is what you make it and I’m intending on living on purpose and with as much intent as possible. I want to love on you every second I can. Chase you and steal kisses that make you squeal. Dance to ‘Happy’ after bath time in our underwear because really why not? Pull you on the sled endlessly while you stare up at the sky and soak up the warm sun. And snuggle on the couch with your Daddy whenever I get the chance. Life isn’t about the stuff we have, it’s about the moments we share. The love we give. The light we shine brightly. I’m not perfect, there are days I have a hard time putting the phone down. Days I can’t wait for bedtime. Understanding my own imperfections helps me see that you will have your struggles and imperfections too and it’s my job to show you there is grace in the imperfect. It’s what makes us human and connected to one another. Getting to know your soul will be my life’s greatest lesson and privilege. To look deep into those dark brown eyes and truly know you, is an honor I don’t take lightly.
With New Years comes a time of cleansing and purifying for me. Nesting is taking hold and I’m trying to declutter and find space in our tiny home for another little soul to join us. I want open space for you to play and organized toys at your finger tips. I know it won’t always be perfect, but I can try and give us all the best start possible to what is going to be a very busy year. A year full of big changes and growing. I’m always telling your Dad that I don’t like to stay stagnant to long. I want change, I seek change out, I want to feel that I’m alive and not just surviving. And yet at times in the midst of great change I panic and worry. Mostly about crazy things I have no control over, but worry I do. Then I remember that it’s change that moves us forward. Growth is found in change. Change can bring the most beautiful things into our lives, dreams we never thought we possible.
xoxo – Your Mama
