The other weekend my husband, my cousin and her twin girls headed up to the mountains for the weekend.  We ended up in Estes Park at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge and I decided I had to do a blog post on it.  Because it’s that freak’n great!  Taharaa is actually more of a bed and breakfast then a hotel.  Which gives it a very comfortable inviting atmosphere.  Jimmy and Pam, our hostess were AMAZING!  We all chatted over cocktails and Scrabble during the complimentary happy hour.  Yea a complimentary Happy Hour people.  Sure beats the Motel 6 continental breakfast.   And the breakfast left me speechless. Literally.  We dined on French toast stuffed with ricotta cheese and jalapenos, with a raspberry sauce on top.  A hint of spice with the sweet and creamy….Amazing.

Each room came with a spectacular view of the mountains and the Estes Park valley.  There’s even an outdoor hot tub.

And the best part is they do weddings!  I can’t believe I haven’t heard about this place before!  They do outdoor ceremony’s with a beautiful reception hall, complete with antler chandlers.  Best part is your guest can stay right there as well.  Kinda makes me want to get married all over again.  So if you’re still looking for a wedding venue with a mountain atmosphere and amazing service, this is your place.  Thank you Pam and Jimmy for the wonderful stay!
