Eight adults and 6 kids….That’s a lot of family! Kathy and Gary (aka the founding fathers of the Haag clan) decided to do a big portrait session with everyone. Going into the session I totally thought it would take a least an hour to make sure we hit all our bases. But the kids where all fantastic and we blow through it in under 45 minutes with only one minor break down! So many great shots of these cute little munchkins!

July 16, 2010Girls Inc Seniors, Zahra
June 23, 2010
I think I may be blogging out of order, but hey that’s how it goes sometimes. Zahra was the last senior I did at Girls Inc last month. And she totally ROCKED it! I’ve never seen a young girl with so much confidence and yet be so down to earth and true to herself. And those eyes! You just got lost in how dark and gorgeous they are! I LOVED doing this project with the Girls Inc seniors. It has been such an amazing opportunity to get to know them and how much Girls Inc has helped them. I have no doubt they’ll take their dreams far.
Family Photography, The McDaniel Family
June 12, 2010Jennifer and I had the honor of meeting in previous life as an architect. And you could say we hit it off and struck up a friendship that continues today. I was sooo excited when she told me almost a year ago that they were expecting their first child. Jennifer is a totally natural at the mom thing, and Loren is doing pretty good for a new dad too. Needless to say I was so happy to do a photo shoot for them. Such a cute little family. I can only hope that when we finally get around to having children, they’ll be as wonderful as Evan. Love you guys!
The Denney Family
June 3, 2010
How can you not love that cute little face!? Will you are the cuties little boy, can I take you home with me? The Denney’s are just a sweet family that come to me never having done a photo session. It’s kinda fun getting clients like that, they’re fresh and totally up for anything. And Will, well he just wanted to swing. But with a cute face like that, I’ll let him do whatever he wants.
Life as it happens, tears and all
And a personal favorite. Perfectly content in the swing.
Lyons Maternity Photography, Stacy and Matt
May 21, 2010Me: Stacy what’s your due date?
Stacy: Well that depends. Maybe May 10th or maybe May 22nd. She’s measuring closer to the May 22nd date.
So, we scheduled the session for May 15th. Don’t ask me why we choice to push it that close, fault of not ever having a child myself yet maybe? On May 14th, Stacy started having contractions. But lucky they stopped and she was ready to do the session the next day. Stacy is so comfortable being pregnant, she just radiates beauty. And our setting was absolutely gorgeous. Her parents have a beautiful home outside of Lyons that we took full advantage of. Stacy and Matt were one of my first clients when they were married back in 2008. Now they’re having a baby girl named Quinn. I just love it when things come full circle. It’s going to be such a special opportunity to watch this family grow. I love my job.
