“I’m not very photo genetic.’ Sound familiar? Well you’re not alone in the bad photography camp. I believe everyone can be photo genetic if given an environment that’s relaxing, fun and a safe place for them to be themselves. The bad photos happen when you’re thinking to hard about what the photo will look like. Or you just freeze up and make the cheesemo smile. And yea cheesemo is a word in my book.
It does take time to get to that feeling of comfort and you can just be yourself. That’s why I feel an engagement session (couples session in my book) is so important. It gives you and your photographer friend time to get to know each other. Time to get familiar with the camera and what your photographer does behind it. If you don’t have the luxury of doing a Couple’s Session then be sure to schedule extra time for the two of you on the wedding day. Believe me it’ll be even harder to relax the day of. There’s so many things happening and you constantly feel like you need to be somewhere. Even if you had a Couple’s Session a little extra time the day of isn’t a bad thing at all.
Just relax and don’t over think it. The best thing you can do is enjoy your partners company and love on each other. Your photos will me amazing and you’ll look gorgeous! Especially if you have an amazing photographer.
Holy Moly! I love Lindsey and Lee! They’re straight forward and sweet. And they just ooze cuteness together! To kick off the new year I’m now adding HD video to weddings and even Couple Sessions. My vision is to capture and tell each client’s love story and there was just something missing before. At least until I added HD video. Now I can add just enough spoken word that the couple’s love for each other and what they mean to each other is expressed by them. I’m So excited to be adding this special little something. I’d love to hear feed back too! I can’t wait for Lindsey and Lee’s wedding, a gorgeous ceremony under a tree in City Park and Cocktails on the Museum roof top! AHH it’s going to be a good one!
Oh where this path leads us is just amazing! A year ago I met Meghan, instantly I knew she was a special person. She and I are UBER excited to go on an adventure together and start a photo booth company called The Booth! We’ve felt there really isn’t an open photo booth with a modern feel that looks as cool as the photos do. We designed and built the entire booth ourselves, with a little help from the hubbies of course. Photo booths are so much for any event from weddings to birthday parties and corporate events. The Booth is independent of Rachael Grace Photography so anyone can book it for there event. The Booth is our little baby that we feel is going to grow exponentially over the next couple of years! It’s so unique and so much fun that who wouldn’t want it at their event! Visit the site now and book your event! TheBoothPhotography.com
Cody will be disappointed, my heart was stolen….by this gorgeous little girl. Maggie is just the sweetest little girl that smiles at just the slight of her Mommy. And with such style already, she sure to steal the boys hearts in the future too! Thank you so much Heather for taking me up on the offer! I loved catching up with you and meeting little Maggie.
To start the new year off I’ve changed things up a bit. I’ve created a Look Book with all the information a bride and groom could need to make a educated decision. Keeping things simple and open is what I’m hoping to accomplish this year and it starts with this. There are so many photographers out there I want to show my clients why they hire me. Having great customer service isn’t enough, I want to be open and transparent. I want each wedding client to have a album, it’s more then just photos on a page. It’s your legacy. My hope over the next few months is to really show who I am. This is who I am and I’m so excited for what the future holds. I hope I can share it with you.
