‘Three things that make my life complete

Are love, laughter, and you, my sweet

The laughter has lasted since day one

Loving you darling, has ben so much fun.’

Kids will be kids.  Sometimes you can’t stop the laughter, other times it seems you can’t get them to laugh for anything.  Ben was incredible serious for our shoot.  No matter what I, Mom or Dad did, he was not crack’n a smile.  And that was that.  Jack on the other hand was little ham.  A very curious three year old with the brightest blue eyes!

I shot film and digital…can you tell which is which?

Fierce little man.

Why is film so different then digital?  Why do I swoon over it so much??  I can honestly say I love the anticipation of not knowing what’s really in the camera.  And I hate waiting for anything!  The excitement, even the smell of a lab makes me gitty.  I think I’ve spent to many hours in a darkroom.  Film captures light in such a different way then digital pixels do.  It almost feels there’s a rose colored glass over everything.  Everything’s so soft and radiant.

I can see the difference almost instantly, but can the average person?  Maybe, maybe not.  I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Is it just the nostalgia of film?

Thought I’d add in the photo of my Hubs and I.  He cleans up pretty good!

These next few are at the Walker Art Musuem.  And it really was this yellow and incredible views of Minneapolis.

How often do I have total creative freedom at a wedding?  Only when I’m a bridesmaid!  Rach and I have known each other since college and she’s a riot to be with!  Always smiling and laughing!  Her and Mike were married last weekend at the Wesley Church in Minneapolis, MN  I was honored to be a bridesmaid and sit back and just take photos to my hearts content. Kinda of a perfect little arrangement really.  So how can I still be in pictures and take pictures at the same time? I carry light and non invasive cameras.  Rach’s wedding I took my old Nikon N55 film camera.  It’s light and well I’m sure the hired photographer won’t care if I was snapping off a couple in between shoots.  He was actually shocked I was shooting film.  And here I am going ahhh film, I may just come back to you after all.  Ok enough chatter.  I promise to share more soon.

Congrats Rach and Mike!
