I just don’t shoot for myself often enough…it takes a vacation away from the usual to do it. But none the less I love to just shoot for the creative person in me. Sure I push to find something new and creative at every shoot, but there’s just something about shooting with no purpose in mind. It’s so therapeutic to me. It gets me out into nature or just out and with a total open mind for whatever might find itself in my path. And having a creative medium to use is just that much more intriguing and exciting. You just never know what you’re gonna get. love that. So more North Carolina is on the blog today.

The beautiful model is my darling cousin Hayley, who’ll be a senior in high school this year. LOVED spending the week with girlie! You’re becoming a gorgeous women inside and out.

August 26, 2010Biltmore Mansion, Ashville North Carolina
August 25, 2010Down pouring rain and me in a white sun dress….Lucky for me I found refuge just before the sky’s opened up! Apparently there were some bets going on within the family whether or not I’d get wet. Don’t you love my family? The Biltmore is classic architecture for the turn of the century. Although, if I’m going to be honest, I was not impressed with the gardens. Versailles in Paris is still by far the most magnificant castle and grounds I’ve seen. But I suppose it’s not far to judge an American mansion to a Paris castle…although I was let to believe it was a lot like Versailles.
Of course there’s no photography within the building, that’s how they sell you post cards I’m convinced. But I did take a few photos outside.
