Swoon.  I love these two and our couples session.  The pressure was on too, both Allison and Nick went to film school.  Talk about nerves.  But it was fun to have a couple that totally knew exactly the light I was going for.  Nick even mentioned, I have nice hair light don’t I?  Oh yes my friend you knew exactly what I want.  :)   These two cute kids met in film school, which I think is the best place to meet.  My hubs and I met in school over late nights in studio studying the same thing.  There’s no better place to find someone with common interest and a shared love of whatever it is you love.

Naturally we whipped out the old school cameras for their shoot.  I couldn’t resist an opportunity to bring a little personal significance into the images.  And I’m loving, and I mean LOVING the holga shots too.  Just gorgeous light and location for an adorable couple.  Can’t wait for your August wedding!  It’s going to be stellar!

You really have to trust your clients to drive an hour and half to their cabin, which I’ve only seen a random photo of.  Trust that it’s going to be an awesome location and trust that my clients aren’t going to be totally lame to ride in a car that long with!  Well I lucked out with AWESOME clients and and even more fabulous location!   Terra and Ben were a riot to talk with the whole way and OH MY the cabin.  The cabin was gorgeous, perfect location along a river perched on a hill.  ahhhh I could have stayed there all weekend.  We even lucked out with fabulous weather, which if you’ve been in Denver lately you know that good weather is hard to come by.

I’m so looking forward to this wedding in just over a week!  Thank you so much Terra and Ben for showing me a little slice of heaven and for being amazing to people to spend time with!

Filmy goodness.  I just can’t get over how gorgeous it was up there!  The sound of the river, the wind and smell of pine…slice of heaven

Holy Moly!  I love Lindsey and Lee!  They’re straight forward and sweet.  And they just ooze cuteness together!  To kick off the new year I’m now adding HD video to weddings and even Couple Sessions.  My vision is to capture and tell each client’s love story and there was just something missing before.  At least until I added HD video.  Now I can add just enough spoken word that the couple’s love for each other and what they mean to each other is expressed by them.  I’m So excited to be adding this special little something.  I’d love to hear feed back too!  I can’t wait for Lindsey and Lee’s wedding, a gorgeous ceremony under a tree in City Park and Cocktails on the Museum roof top!  AHH it’s going to be a good one!

‘I was made for sunny days
I make due with grey
but I didn’t stay
I was made for sunny days
and I was made for you.’

I love it when my beloved clients ‘get it’.  We’re not out to take posed cheesy photos.  They follow me into alleys and down crazy paths all with enthusiasm.  Natalie is the sister of a client I photographed back in 2009.  I absolutely adore the entire Sustad Family and I can’t believe I have the privilege to photograph another Sustad daughter’s wedding!  Natalie and John are of course adorable together.  We had a gorgeous November afternoon to wonder around and enjoy each others company.

mmmmm…love the real life essence this one has to it.

Film to follow..

I love my job.  On my way to the Springs it rained and I had a horrible feeling that I’d get there and we’d have to cancel because of the crappy weather.  But I should have known Colorado weather to be just a little unpredictable.  It not only didn’t rain, but the sun even came out.   This session with Will and Laura was so amazing!  They’re perfect for each other and have no qualms showing how much they’re in love.  They just had a great time being with each other and their personalities and authenticity just glowed.  This is the kind of engagement session I want to do more of.  More about Love then getting the perfect image that you think is what you’re suppose to do.

Thank you Laura and Will for an amazing session.  I’m sad I won’t be shooting your wedding!
